Dr Iliesiu ( pronounced ‘LSU’ like Louisiana State University) completed his internal medicine residency at St John Hospital in Detroit, then pursued subspecialty training in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care at the University of Texas in Houston / MD Anderson Cancer Center. Upon completion of his training, he returned to Michigan, where his wife’s family is from, and has never looked back.
He has been seeing patients in Troy, MI and surrounding areas since 2015, in the office for consultations, or while admitted in the hospital. Taking pride in serving adult patients 16 and older, from any background, including minorities, and accepting most insurance plans.
Although smoking is discouraged, will respect one’s individual will, and work with patients on their respiratory goals.
Focused on promoting lung health, but meeting the patients wherever they may be in their journey, including end of life discussions 1:1 or with family.
